you will learn the basics of pyrography and make art onto a wood slice you get to take home!
choose the radial symmetry add-on for instructions on how to create a one-of-a-kind mandala-inspired pattern.
step-by-step instructions on techniques for this meditative hobby will be demonstrated and discussed using a 3 pyrography machines (at different price points so you can get an understanding of professional tools versus beginner ones) and a wide range of burning tools and tips. the intention here is that if you want to continue pyrography at home, you will be equipped with the knowledge on the right tools for you, the range of prices for machines and necessary accessories, the wood varieties and how they interact with your burner, woods and their toxicities, and so much more!
this is meant to be a casual and relaxing event teaching you to slow down your mind by burning mandalas into wood!

previous experience is not required to participate in classes and attendees should be 16 years old or older (younger students must be accompanied by an adult).

children draw their desired image, then watch me bring it to life with burning what they drew (adding colour if they like). older children can try out pyrography if they like!
